New Jersey man Killed in Boonville Snowmobile Accident

TOWN OF BOONVILLE-March 18, 2017.  A 44 year old New Jersey man was killed in a snowmobile accident in Boonville Friday night.

Oneida County Sheriff’s deputies said Michael Stanley of Old Tappan, NJ was fatally injured after his 2015 ski-doo sled crashed into a concrete bridge on trail C7B in near the intersection of Hayes Road East and Lachausse Road. Deputies said Stanley was riding on the trail when he apparently was unable to make a left curve. The sled continued to travel straight -- driving off the trail and into a concrete bridge. Stanley was rushed by Boonville Ambulance to St. Elizabeth's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. In addition to deputies and Boonville Ambulance, the Boonville Fire Department and the New York State Police responded to the crash.
