TOWN OF NEW BREMEN-July 16, 2017. A 31 year old Castorland woman was ticketed Friday following a two car personal injury accident at the intersection of the Number Four Road and The Erie Canal Road in the Town of New Bremen.

Lewis County Sheriff’s deputies report that Heather M. Miller was driving north on Erie Canal Road when she reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign. Miller’s vehicle struck an S.U.V. driven by Jerilynn C. Thisse of Norwood, Massachusetts. Thisse was transported to Lewis County General Hospital by Search and Rescue where she was treated for minor injuries. Miller was ticketed for Failure to Yield the right of way at a Stop sign. Deputies were assisted at the scene by the New York State Police, New Bremen Fire Department, Wolff’s Towing, and Monnat Brother’s Towing.
