Rome- Two Rome women are facing misdemeanor charges after police investigated a shoplifting incident.

State Troopers from the Lee Barracks report Jennifer E. Carter, 30 and Chyanne R. Rich, 46, were both charged with Petit Larceny, considered Class A Misdemeanors. Rich was also charged with Criminal Tampering in the 3rd Degree, a Class B Misdemeanor.

The arrests stem from an alleged shoplifting incident in the City of Rome, reported to police August 10, at 2:10pm. Both suspects were issued appearance tickets returnable to the City of Rome Court at a later date.
