Harold Gordon Yager

Boonville – Harold Gordon Yager, 71, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017.

Harold was born in Rome, on February 9, 1946 a son of John H. and Iola Fassett Yager. He was raised in Hawkinsville and attended Boonville Central School. Following his education, Harold was employed for the Cleo Hughes and Spires Farms, before his employment with Sargeant’s Chair Factory, Boonville.

On June 20, 1981, Harold was united in marriage with Marie Ann Kline in Boonville. He was a member of the Hawkinsville Methodist Church.

He is survived by his children: Tania (Andrew) St. Thomas, Amber Yager, Gordon Yager, and Joseph Yager, two granddaughters: Zoey and Ally St. Thomas, siblings: Sarah Johnson, Emma (Alton) Buffett, Jackie (Douglas) Satterlee, and Edward Yager. He was predeceased by a son Eric Shane Yager on January 7, 1991, his sisters Luella Vollmar and Ida “Tootsie” Yager, and brothers Stanley and John Yager.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville. Interment will be held in Boonville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, from 4:00 pm until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boonville Rod & Gun Club for the Stanley Yager Memorial Fishing Derby, the Boonville Fire Co. Ambulance fund, P.O. Box #164, Boonville, New York 13309, or to the American Heart Association, 120 Lomond Court, Utica, New York 13502.
