Gary L. Brach

October 7, 1958 to April 13, 2017

Boonville- Gary L. Brach, 58, of Old West Leyden Road, passed away suddenly at his residence on Thursday, April 13, 2017.

Gary was born in Lowville, on October 7, 1958, a son of the late Frederick J. and C. Ardell Longway Brach. A lifelong resident of Old West Leyden Road, Gary graduated from Adirondack Central High School, with the Class of 1976; while in high school he also attended BOCES, where he earned a certificate in welding. Thereafter for a year he was employed as a welder for Prowlers Trailer Manufacturing Co. of Rome. After that Gary entered into the operation of the Brach family dairy farm with his father, Frederick. Later Gary became the manager of the farm, a position which he held for many years until retiring due to disability.

He greatly enjoyed playing Pitch, Chess, watching Sunday Football games, listening to his favorite program “Flash back” on The Moose Radio Station and splitting fire wood with his chain saw. He always looked forward to attending the NYS Woodsmen’s Field Days.

Gary is survived by two daughters, Miss Erin Laura Brach, and Miss Megan Leann Brach, both of Boonville; six grandchildren, Jordan Brach, Aiden Bowen, Mackenzie Kirch, Gage Brach, Jace Eaton Brach, Lyla Eaton Brach; two sisters, Barbara and Kelly Brach, both of Boonville; two brothers, Jim ( Mary)Brach, and Allan Brach, both of Boonville.

A memorial service will be Thursday, at 7:00 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where Rev. Thomas A. Ward, pastor of Christ Our Hope Parish, Boonville, will officiate. Calling hours are Thursday 1-3 P.M. and 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
