Matthew L. Stevens

~~Boonville- Matthew L. Stevens, 26, of Main St. passed away suddenly in Watertown, NY on Sunday, July 23, 2017.

Matthew was born on October 1, 1990, in Bedford, VA. He grew up in Boonville, where he graduated with honors from Adirondack Central High School, with the Class of 2009. While in school, Matthew excelled in playing football and was a member of the ACS Modified, JV and Varsity Wildcat Football Teams and he also enjoyed wrestling. While attending high school he attended Howard G. Sackett BOCES Center, Glenfield, majoring in electricity and wiring. He earned honors status for his BOCES studies and was a member of The National Honor Society. 

After completing his education, Matthew relocated to Virginia later returning to Boonville – the place he so dearly loved. He was employed as a forklift operator at Alder Creek Beverage Co. of Boonville. Mr. Stevens attended the Calvary Bible Church, Greig. 

In addition to his parents, Mark and Lindsey Hubbard of Boones Mill, VA, Matthew is survived by his grandmothers; Marion Amicucci, Rebecca Stevens, both in VA, his siblings; Devon Amicucci, Phoenix, AZ, Mark Hubbard, VA, Douglas Pfeiffer, Ava, Saxony Amicucci, Halley Amicucci, Jon-Drea Amicucci, Isobella Amicucci and Camdyn Amicucci, all of VA, his birth mother, Tracy Stevens, Potter, VA; aunts, uncles and cousins; a special best friend, Craig Dittle, Boonville and a special friend, Felicity Lajuett, Carthage. 

His Funeral will be Friday at 8:00 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where calling hours will be Friday from 1-4 & 6-8 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association 120 Lomond Court, Utica, NY 13502.
