Boonville-Edward L. Pruckno, 95, of East Road passed away on August 21, 2017.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 16, 1922, a son of Joseph and Katherine Jesnic Pruckno. As a young child he moved to a farm on Dutch Hill with his parents and graduated from Boonville High School in 1942. He entered the U.S. Army on January 2, 1943 and was stationed in the Philippines as a machine gunner. Ed was honorably discharged on January 3, 1946. For a time he worked at Revere Copper & Brass and then operated the family farm on East Road for many years. On October 31, 1953 he married Eileen Dolan at St. Joseph’s Church, Boonville. He was a member of the Charles J. Love Post American Legion and St. Joseph’s Church, Boonville.

Surviving are his wife Eileen; three sons and a daughter-in-law, David Pruckno, Andrew Pruckno, both of Boonville and Stephen and Mary Pruckno, Blossvale; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Katherine Pruckno, Barneveld and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Henry, Emil and Stanley and a sister Emily as a child.

A prayer service will be held on Friday on August 25, 2017 at 10:15 a.m. at Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post Street, Boonville followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Christ Our Hope/ St. Joseph’s Parish, Boonville. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Boonville, with military rights rendered by Charles J. Love Post, Harland J. Hennessey V.F.W and Tun Tavern Leathernecks Marine Corp League, all of Boonville. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Mills Funeral Home.
