Boonville – Shirley F. Mills Crocetti, 83, a longtime resident of State Route 46, Gorge Road, passed away on September 17, 2017 at Sunset Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Boonville after a long illness.

She was born on December 13, 1933 in Warden, Quebec, Canada, a daughter of Elwin A. and Blanche M. Mowers Foster. Shirley grew up on a farm on Route 26, Ava. She graduated from West Leyden High School in 1951 and married James T. Mills on July 27, 1951 at the Ava Hilltop Methodist Church. The couple divorced in 1977. Shirley was a dedicated homemaker to her seven children that survive her; Karen and Jerry King, West Leyden, Jacqueline and Larry Backer, Ava, David and Suzanne Mills, North Dakota, James and Donna Mills, Barneveld, Alan and Lisa Mills, Boonville, Greg and Kay Mills, Boonville and Andrea Mills, Town of Kirkland; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In 1990 she married Dr. Carlo P. Crocetti, he died June 23, 2008.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post St., Boonville. Burial will be private at Carmichael Cemetery, Town of Western. Memorials may be made to Sunset Nursing Home Activities Fund, 232 Academy Street, Boonville, NY 13309.
