Linda Barnes

 

March 18, 1947 to September 20, 2017

~~Boonville- Linda F. (Champion) Barnes, 70, of East Schuyler St., wife of George H, passed away, while surrounded by her loving husband and family, on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Boonville.

Linda was born in Hemmingville, NY, on March 18, 1947, a daughter of William Henry and Marjorie Ella Burdick Champion. She graduated from Cato-Meridian High School, in 1965. In 1965, Linda married George Lamie; for many years the couple lived in Barneveld and Mrs. Lamie was employed as a cook at the Ok Corral, Remsen, Angies Restaurant, Boonville, retiring from many years of employment as a cook at Blue Anchor Restaurant, Poland, NY. Mr. Lamie passed away in 2011.

On June 14, 2014, Linda was married to George H. Barnes, in Boonville. At that time the couple settled at their present home on East Schuyler St.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; William Lamie, Boonville, Betty Vaughn Rastani, Marcy; a grandson, Joseph Lamie, granddaughters Angel and Alissa Lamie; two great granddaughters, Jazman and Alissaa Lamie; step son, Patrick Williams Barnes, Fulton; one brother, Douglas Champion, Baldwinsville; one sister, Sandy Jackson, Auburn and nieces nephews which she felt a great affection for. She was predeceased by sisters, Phyllis Champion, Betty Youngs, Sara Hammon; brothers Richard, Robert, David and William Champion.

Her Funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville, where Pastor David Hadeen, from Boonville Alliance Church, will officiate. Visitation hours are Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral. Memorial contributions may be made to The Boonville Alliance Church, 12593 Potato Hill Road, Boonville, NY 13309.
