Wanda L. Brown

January 5, 1957 to October 25, 2017

Boonville – Wanda L. Brown, 60, passed away October 25, 2017 at the Gosling IRA of Route 12d, Boonville surrounded by her loving family, UCP family and Hospice.

She was born in Constableville at Sunset on January 5, 1957, a daughter of James Brown and Gertrude Larrivey Brown. Wanda attended the Jeffery Schoonmaker Dayhab Center on Potato Hill Road where she had many friends. She loved music, coloring, shopping and her greatest passion was her love of her baby dolls and monkeys.

Wanda is survived by her parents, James of Lyons Falls and Gertrude of Boonville; siblings, Raymond and Lisa Brown, Port Leyden, Beverly and Ben Sweeney, Boonville, Blair and Rebecca Brown, Brantingham, William Brown, Boonville, Rachele and John Major, Remsen; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins. Also surviving is her extended UCP family. She is predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents and her step mother Ann Brown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at St. Martin’s Church, Port Leyden at 12 p.m. with Rev. Lawrence Marullo officiating. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post Street, Boonville. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Cerebral Palsy, Utica or to Hospice & Palliative Care, New Hartford.
