BOONVILLE- Authorities say a resident was taken to an area hospital for treatment of an injured ankle after tipping over on a mini-bike.

The incident happened shortly before 3:00 p.m. on State Route 12D, Boonville Fire Chief Dave Pritchard Jr. told us.

It’s reported by Chief Pritchard Jr. that the person in question was riding a mini-bike around the front yard of the home.

This is when the person tipped over and cut their ankle, Chief Pritchard Jr. said.

The person was taken to a nearby hospital for additional treatment and evaluation.

Boonville Police was called to assist. No further details were available.
