Boonville- Fire crews were called out earlier this morning after reports of a possible structure fire.

Fire Chief Dave Pritchard said that the call came in at 2:18am this morning, June 19. Firefighters arrived to 1901 Merry Hill Road and discovered that most of the smoke had been cleared out by the time they had arrived.

Investigations revealed that an old-style box-fan had its motor burn out, causing smoke and suspicion for a fire. Emergency services remained on the scene for about five minutes to ensure everything was okay, before returning to service.
