Village of Lowville-August 27, 2017.  An 18 year old Carthage male was arrested for D.W.I. and other charges early Sunday morning following a vehicle stop on East State Street in the Village of Lowville.

Lowville Village Police patrols charged the teen, whose name was not released, with Driving While Intoxicated, Underage Possession of Alcohol, and Inadequate Exhaust. It is alleged that the teen was stopped for an inadequate muffler. He reportedly failed field sobriety tests at the scene and was taken into custody. He was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Lowville Village Court at a later date.
