Boonville- Emergency services were dispatched yesterday morning to an accident at the intersection of Post Street and Academy Street, in Boonville.

Police say at around 11:40am Monday, Michael Sokoloff, 63, of Boonville, NY was traveling north on Post Street in a 2012 Dodge Ram and reportedly made a wide turn onto Academy Street. According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputies, Sokoloff failed to keep right at the intersection and struck a 2005 Ford Taurus, operated by Charles Halstead, 62, of Port Leyden, NY.

No injuries were reported, however; Halstead was evaluated by members of the Boonville Fire Department for complaints of arm pain. Mr. Sokoloff was issued a citation returnable to the Village of Boonville Court at a later date. The Boonville Police Department assisted deputies at the scene.
