Carthage- A 25-year-old Copenhagen, NY man was taken into custody earlier this morning for DWI following a village of Carthage traffic stop.

At around 3:30am Friday, State Troopers from the Carthage Barracks stopped a vehicle on North School Street and identified the alleged driver as Dominic C. Clemons. Troopers charged Clemons with DWI (1st-offense) and Aggravated DWI (per se no-prior); Class “U” Misdemeanors.

Clemons’ arrest status said he was released to a 3rd party and Troopers said the investigation is pending. No further details were available.
