Snowmobile Crash 2

Town of Camden- State Police officials are investigating a serious injury snowmobile accident that occurred Thursday evening in Oneida County.

According to investigators, emergency responders were dispatched at around 7:30pm to the Whiskey Island Road in the town of Camden for reports of a snowmobile crash. When authorities arrived on the scene, they discovered Joseph P. Beadle, 52, of Camden, NY was traveling southeast on his sled and ran off the east shoulder, striking a tree.

Emergency officials said Beadle was partially ejected from the sled and was found pinned between his 1997 Arctic Cat and the tree. Investigators confirmed Mr. Beadle was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.

Medical officials said Beadle suffered severe head trauma and was last listed in critical condition at SUNY Upstate Medical Center. Police say the investigation is continuing.
