Hulbert House

Boonville, NY- It’s official: the historic Hulbert House has a new owner.

The sale of the Main Street landmark, which was a known location for dinner parties, weddings and other gatherings, was approved by the Oneida County Board of Legislators during their latest meeting. Recently purchased at a tax auction for $87,000, Carl Vogel, of Carl’s Furniture, said he is extremely excited to be the new owner of such a treasured property.

“I will now conduct a thorough review of the buildings with my architect, engineer and contractor to determine its long term and immediate needs,” said Vogel. “After I complete my review, I will establish a development plan that will guarantee its economic stability and success, while preserving the history of the property.”

Built and operated since 1812, the Hulbert House closed its doors in 2016 and has remained that way, since.
