Poland, NY- There was no school Tuesday for students and staff of Poland Central School after emergency crews responded to an overnight fire.

At around 3:30 a.m., Poland and several other fire departments were called out to the school and extinguished the fire in less than two hours. In the latest details from WKTV, firefighters worked together by venting smoke out of the building.

At around 5:00 a.m., school officials made a decision to cancel school for the day. Investigators are looking into what caused the fire, but so far have determined it started somewhere in the basement storage area, emergency officials said.
