It was a well-attended grand opening for the latest Carthage Savings and Loan branch, which just opened in Croghan on Thursday.

“This is a true partnership, and we couldn’t be happier,” bank President Thomas H. Piche told reporters from the Watertown Daily Times, “Croghan people work together. It’s beautiful.”

According to officials, the branch will be managed and staffed by Wendy McClain, who is a local resident, along with two village residents on the team, Claire Brouty and Medina Martin.
