Utica, NY- Sources confirm the Boilermaker 15K Road Race is now officially full.
With only just over a month away, this annual summer celebration is one of the largest foot races on the east coast and draws runners from all over the country and the rest of the world. A total of 14,500 runners have officially signed up for this year’s race, set for Sunday, July 14, according to the latest updates from WKTV and Boilermaker officials.
For now, a total of 4,500 people are registered for the smaller 5K race and officials say there is still hope to possibly land a spot that someone bails out from. “The 5k is very tight. If you're interested in the 5k, find somebody on social media that's unable to make it this year, they've already registered, follow the official transfer via run sign up. That's your way to get into the 5k,” said Mark Donovan, Boilermaker president.
For anyone who wants to join the 15K race, officials say to visit runsignup.com and register for the waiting list.
