John Healt and Jake Moser

Lowville, NY- Lewis County's Republican Committee hosted a 'Meet the Primary Candidates' discussion forum Wednesday night at Lowville Academy.

During the discussion, primary candidates highlighted a variety of topics and issues with a local media panel. Candidates who participated in the forum are running for various county positions in the local June 25 primary, which include: county clerk, county treasurer and legislative seats in districts 4,5 and 7.

The primary candidates for Lewis County Clerk, Jake Moser and John Healt, we're featured first during the gathering, answering questions regarding property taxes and generating county revenue, service improvements, leadership capabilities, improvements to the DMV and supervising a total of eight clerk's office employees.

DON'T FORGET: The local primary election, which was normally held in September, has officially been moved to this month and will be held Tuesday, June 25. Friday's news will feature primary candidates for Lewis County Treasurer: Denise Yost and Eric Virkler.
