Lowville, NY- If you're looking for an opportunity to begin a career, there's an opportunity through JCC to take a free construction training program that begins this fall and will end towards late winter.

"The training itself is four hundred-hours of of National Center for Construction Education and Research Training. It's a nationally certified program," JCC Director of Community Services Kathleen Morris said. "Anyone who is currently unemployed or underemployed, working part-time or working in a job that is not leading to a career is eligible to apply for this training."

The class begins October 21 and will run through March 6, Monday-Thursday each week from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m at the Lewis County Education Center, 7395 East Road, Lowville, NY.

Morris says there is a cap limit on the class size of 30 students and as of Tuesday, September 10, 22 applications were confirmed. To sign up for this class, call 315-786-2233.
