Lowville, NY- Veterans Day, 2019 is Monday, November 11 and the Commander of Lowville American Legion, Lee Hinkleman, is inviting the public to a formal military honors ceremony.

It will begin at 11:00 a.m. in Veteran's Memorial Park, including a brief speech, live fire and taps. A reception will be held shortly afterwards at the Legion. The VFW and Marine Corp League will also offer light refreshments.

According to Commander Hinkleman, there is a clear difference between the reasons as to why we observe Veterans Day and Memorial Day.
