FootballThis is a big weekend for local varsity high school football.

As we reported earlier this week, two local teams have won their Sectional Tournaments and have advanced to the states. Last weekend in the Syracuse Carrier Dome, The Lowville Red Raiders defeated the Blue Devils of Cate-Meridian to win the Section III Class C Championship 41-6 last Saturday, and the Carthage Comets defeated Auburn last Friday 55-7 to win the Section III Class A Championship. Lowville will meet Susquehanna Valley tomorrow at noon and Carthage will square off against Union-Endicott tonight at 8pm.
