Town of Webb- A traffic stop last week in Herkimer County led to a DWI arrest for a Erieville, NY man.

The Town of Webb Police said patrols conducted a traffic stop on Route 28 at around 9:10 p.m. January 8. After a suspicion that the driver was possibly intoxicated, police said they conducted field sobriety tests at the scene.

The driver, who authorities identified as Chad A. Curtis, 46, reportedly failed sobriety tests and was arrested.

Further investigation revealed that Mr. Curtis’ driving privilege was suspended for two separate pending DWI arrests in New York.

He was charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation in the 1st-degree, DWI, refusal to take a breath test, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, failing to keep right, crossing hazard markings and operating a motor vehicle while using an electronic device.

All charges are returnable to the Town of Webb Court at a later date.
