Lewis County Government

LOWVILLE- Lewis County Night Out has been cancelled for this year.

The annual late summer event is aimed to bring awareness to community safety, but will not happen this September, due to what officials said are “unknowns” about the novel coronavirus.

Local and departments are in attendance each year to put on special demonstrations, while also providing key information on issues that impact the general community.

Committee made up of the Lewis County Youth Bureau, Lewis County Opportunities, Inc., Northern Regional Center for Independent Living, Lowville Police Department and Cornell Cooperative Extension, have decided to postpone the 2020 Annual “Lewis County Night Out” event until September 2021.

Officials would like to thank all local vendors and to the community for supporting this event. They look forward to seeing you all at the 2021 event.
