OLD FORGE- A Saturday afternoon domestic dispute in Old Forge led to the arrest of a Mohawk Valley man.

Town of Webb Police said the incident occurred at Christy’s Motel. It’s alleged that Michael Solari, 58, of Utica, NY assaulted his girlfriend and head-butted the person who notified authorities, police said.

It’s reported that Solari then fled the scene, but was soon spotted by police heading north on Route 28 and was pulled over.

When told he was going to be arrested, Solari allegedly became hostile with police and refused to exit his vehicle, authorities said. Following a struggle that lasted several minutes, officers were able to place him under arrest.

He was processed at the Webb Police Station for charges of criminal obstruction of breathing, assault in the third-degree, harassment in the second-degree, DWI (.08% BAC or greater) and several other traffic infractions.

Soon after his arraignment, Solari was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Town of Webb Court at a later date.
