Lewis County Sheriffs Office 2

WATSON- A social media post has led to an arrest regarding a child using an e-cigarette.

Lewis County Sheriff’s Deputies said the incident was investigated Monday on Crestview Drive in Watson.

Authorities said a social media post was flagged, which showed a 4-year-old using an e-cigarette.

Deputies interviewed multiple people, leading to their determination that Helen M. Nelson, 18, of Rice, MN allegedly provided the child with the e-cigarette and then posted the video on social media.

Deputies arrested Nelson for a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Nelson was released with an appearance ticket and is due to answer the charge at a later date. No additional details were provided.
