Firefighters responded to a structure fire behind the Nice N Easy store on Main Street in the Village of Boonville last night. Boonville Fire Chief Dave Pritchard reports that the call went out at around 8:15 p.m. last night to the Soper Building, which was used as a warming hut for the outdoor ice rink as well as for storage. Considerable damage was reported to the building & the cause of the fire is under investigation. Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour & a half. Firefighters were called back to the scene earlier this morning for a rekindle.
