A Wednesday afternoon fire on Fort Drum left about a dozen people homeless.  The Fort Drum Public Affairs Office stated that the fire was reported at around 1 p.m. on Genera Grant Drive in the Richard Hills Housing Area.  4 units were affected by the fire with one heavily damaged.  Temporary housing and other support services are currently being provided to the soldiers and family members that were displaced.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
