The Town of Webb Board unanimously approved a resolution requesting a state review of the unit
management plan for the Remsen-Lake Placid travel corridor.  Other municipalities along the corridor have passed similar measures calling for a review. Currently, the corridor is designated for use as a railway & open to snowmobiles in the winter.  Other potential uses for the corridor have gaining in popularity, such as removing the tracks to create a year round recreational trail.  Town of Webb officials report that they have received letters from numerous residents and organizations concerning the potential uses of the corridor.  Town Supervisor Ted Riehle stated that he is not prepared to support a specific use for the corridor, but it is time for the state to revisit the issue.
