An accident during an ATV demo ride led to charges for a 29 year old Wolcott man. Lewis County Sheriff's Deputies report that Ryan Stebbins was riding on a closed course off the Carpenter Road in Turin at around 2:12 p.m. Saturday afternoon when he approached a large embankment & accelerated to the point that the ATV became airborne as it went over, causing him to lose control & was not able to negotiate a small curve on the opposite side of the embankment. The ATV then struck the ground & overturned, causing him to be ejected. Stebbins reported that the ATV struck his right hip, but he refused medical attention. He was ticketed for imprudent speed, returnable to Town of Turin Court.
