Interview: Samantha Brown talks return of Old Forge Seasonal Connector Route, featuring stops from Croghan to Old Forge

LOWVILLE AND OLD FORGE- The price of topping off at the pump is putting a dent in everyone's wallet as fuel costs remain sky high approaching the peak of summertime traveling.

In this age of expensive gas, Americans are doing all they can to save all they can each visit to fill up, even if it means cutting back on certain trips.

With the thought of gas prices in mind, Lewis County Public Transportation crafted a few years ago a seasonal connector route to Old Forge. The route is returning this year and still only costs $1 each way, providing much needed financial relief for those seeking to save from paying high gas prices, especially for frequent travelers to Old Forge area.

"We go from Croghan all the way to Enchanted Forest," Samantha Brown, Community Development Program Specialist, told us.  

"It's seven days a week and it's one dollar ($1) each-way, or you buy a monthly pass for twenty-five-bucks ($25)." 

LCPT works directly with Enchanted Forest Water Safari to accommodate their entire summer schedule, from June 15th to the closing Labor Day Weekend. See the full schedule for this summer below:
