Lowville Elks Lodge 1605 to host Flag Day Parade on June 18th at 2 pm
Lowville NY- The Lowville Elks Lodge will be hosting a Flag Day parade on June 18th, beginning at 2 pm. The parade will commence from the Lowville American Legion on Dayan Street and proceed to the Elks Lodge. Marchers will also include the Watertown and Carthage Elks Lodge, Lowville Academy Marching Band, Lowville, New Bremen, and West Carthage Fire Departments. At 2:30 pm, an American Flag, no longer a fitting emblem for display, will be retired in a dignified way by the Lowville Military Honor Guard. Following this flag retirement, the Lowville Elks Lodge will be welcoming the community into the Lodge for a brief remembrance of the history behind the significance of flag day. Refreshments will be available.
