LOWVILLE- For nearly a decade, a group of soldiers from Fort Drum’s 3-10 General Support Aviation Battalion of the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade have dedicated themselves for the better of Lowville.
On Wednesday, the village presented this group with a key – commemorating all the work they have assisted with, including things like the Cream Cheese Festival, hanging up American Flags and placing flags on veterans’ graves.
“I guess that our veterans that are out there besides serving our country and protecting us are always here whenever we want help or a need arises,” Lowville Mayor Joe Beagle told reporters from WWNY-TV.
The Mayor emphasized that since these soldiers have been presented with a key, they are now and will always be a part of Lowville.
