Man faced with felony sex offense charges in Watson, State Police say
WATSON- A man from Central New York is faced with a pair of felony sex offense charges in Lewis County, stemming from a rape investigation reported nearly two-years-ago, authorities say.
Nicholas J. Joyce, 30, of Solvay, NY is officially charged with one felony count each of rape in the third-degree, along with criminal sex act in the third-degree (lack of consent), according to the New York State Police.
He was arrested on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say the case was opened on July 5, 2020, when police received rape complaints from the town of Watson.
At press time, police said Joyce’s arrest status was listed as held. There were no further details available from the State Police.
