ONEIDA COUNTY- A man suffered a leg injury Sunday late afternoon after hitting a tree on his dirt bike in the city of Rome, NY.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office says the accident took place on the trail next to the Tannery Road.

At shortly before 5:00 p.m., Vincent DeGeorge, 22, of Rome was riding his Kawasaki dirt bike and hit a tree, sheriff’s deputies said.

The dirt bike ended up landing on one of his legs, authorities said. AmCare Ambulance took DeGeorge to Rome Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Rome City Fire Department assisted on the scene.
