Oneida County trying to lure airline to Griffiss

Oneida County officials are trying to bring a commercial airline back to the county.  County Executive Anthony Picente stated that a recent study shows there is demand for a commercial airline to move in to Griffiss International Airport. Currently, military aircraft and private planes that take off and land at Griffiss along with a few charters that go in and out, mainly to Atlantic City, but there is no regular commercial air traffic.  Picente said that the study may help convince a small airline to set up shop in Oneida County.
