August 8, 1913 to April 11, 2015
LOWVILLE - Lucille P. “Peggy” Waite 101, formally of Cascade Avenue, died Saturday morning, April 11, 2015 at Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility with her family at her side.
She was born August 8, 1913 in New Bremen the daughter of the late William and Flossie (Merry) Larget. Peggy retired from AMF in 1979 where she was a machine operator and the first female supervisor.
Peggy owned and operated the “Circle C Ranch” in Beaches Bridge, was also an antique dealer, worked as a motel maid and trucked cattle and horses. She enjoyed her horses and her animals.
She married Private James V. Alania and he died on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1944 in the English Channel on the troopship Leopoldville.
Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Gayle Alania of Naperville, IL; her daughter, Rita Ann Edick; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sister Hazel Dolan.
A graveside service will be on Tuesday, April 14th at 10:00 A.M. at Beaches Bridge Cemetery with Rev. Bruce W. Chapman, retired minister officiating.
