Boonville – Florence M. Wieczerzak, 89, of East Road died September 4, 2018 at K.B. Reynolds Hospice House in Winston Salem, N.C.
She was born in the Town of Martinsburg on January 9, 1929, a daughter of Joseph and Anna Waligora Karpinski. Florence operated a very successful dairy farm on the East Road beginning in 1961. She had a great love of taking care of all the farm animals. She was a member of St Martin’s Church, Port Leyden. Florence enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and baking, blueberry picking and visiting the homestead.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Reginald Wieczerzak, New York, New York, Frederick and Gail Wieczerzak, Boonville; a daughter, Linda Wieczerzak, Tobaccoville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Dean Moshier, Ashley Ellinger, Elise Wieczerzak, Nichole Parsons and Gwendolyn Failing; great grandchildren, Jaylin Mabe, E. Lane Malpass, Brody and Aliyah Ellinger; a sister, Pauline Germanski; a brother, Paul Karpinski, both of Boonville. She was predeceased by a daughter, Diana Moshier in 2005; brothers and sisters, Edward, Stanley and Raymond Karpinski , Jennie Lee, Georgiana Kolock, Charlotte Liss and Stella Doolen.
A prayer service will be held Monday, September 10, 2018 at 9:45 a.m. at Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post St., Boonville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Martin’s Church, Port Leyden with reverend Lawrence Marullo officiating.
