Elaine M. Dorn Smith

Boonville- Elaine M. Dorn Smith, 98 of Post St. passed away on October 28, 2018 at Sunset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she had resided since 2013.

She was born in Boonville, N.Y. on December 24, 1919 a daughter of Adolph and Anna Larsen Marcy. Elaine grew up in Boonville and attended Boonville High School. She married Charles Dorn who died in 1950. Elaine for many years was employed at various restaurants in Boonville including Sam Amendola Restaurant and the Boonville Hotel.

Surviving are her sons, David [Kirbey] Dorn, Boonville and Frank Dorn and spouse Edward Schumacher, Florida; grandchildren, Bart, Charlie, Elaine, MarcyAnn Dorn, Christine Dorn and Rhonda Munoz; several great grandchildren, Alyssa Steria, Jolene Stacks, Jackie Alfano, Reann Munoz, Rebecca Munoz, Phillip, Ella and Anastasia Dorn and 5 great great grandchildren; one sister, Janice Yauger, Boonville and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Ronald and Wayne Dorn and brothers, Lyndon, Wayne and Dean Marcy and one sister, Lura Hutton.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 1 pm at Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post St., Boonville. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Boonville. Calling hours will be 11 am to 1 pm prior to the service. Contributions in her memory may be made to Boonville Ambulance Fund, P.O Box 164, Boonville, N.Y. 13309.
