GREIG – Henry Claude Bardo, 61, died Thursday at his home.
He was born on July 29, 1957 at the Lewis County General Hospital in Lowville, at 4:59 P.M. the son of the late Claude Henry and Ruth Kathryn Gallup Bardo. Henry was in the class of 1976 at South Lewis High School, he also went to BOCES in Glenfield for Agriculture 1 & 2, Farm Production 3 & 4 in his tenth, eleventh, and twelve grades. Henry was in FFA in BOCES, as an officer for BOCES Chapter and one year on Lewis County FFA Chapter.
Henry bought the family farm from his father, Claude on April 1, 1994. Henry became the fourth generation on the family farm and in 2009 he and Sharon sold the farm and moved to Greig where they lived on his mother’s homestead (Gallup) and was also the fourth generation there.
He and Sharon Elizabeth Jarecki were married on August 26, 2000 at St. Mary’s Church in Constableville with the Rev. Paschal Rys, Pastor officiating. Sharon died on August 1, 2010. Sharon was born on February 14, 1958 in Constableville, the daughter of the late Peter Albert and Rose Marie Hoffman Jarecki.
He is survived by his sister Mary A. Simmons; his niece, Kaylynn R. Simmons; and nephew, Richard F. Simmons.
Henry belong to different clubs and organizations, life member of Glen-Greig Fish & Game Club, Lowville Fish & Game Club, NRA, Buckmaster, NYS Rifle & Pistol Association, Adirondack Conservation Council, NYS Conservation Council, North American Hunting Club, NRA Whittington Center/Santa Fe Trail Gun Club. Also has been regular member to other fish & game clubs and snowmobile clubs. A member of the NYS Farm Bureau since 1994 and Lewis County Farm Bureau Board as member and membership chair for the bureau. Lowville Elks Lodge # 1605, and associate member of Lewis County Marine Corps League # 754.
Calling hours for family and friends will be on Monday, March 11, 2019 from 4 to 7:00 P.M. at the Sundquist Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 12th at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. David Herrmann, Pastor of Lowville Methodist Church officiating. Spring burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
