Karl R. Kranbuhl

Boonville- Karl R. Kranbuhl, 79, passed away suddenly at Sunset Nursing Home with his beloved wife and family by his side on November 11, 2019.

He was born in Boonville on April 27, 1940, a son of Albert J. and Louella H. Phillips Kranbuhl. He married Mary Ann Marshall on October 16, 1965 at the Trinity Episcopal Church by the bride’s father. The couple recently celebrated 54 years of marriage. Karl was employed for Jeff Scherz Construction and the Town of Boonville for 30 years retiring in 1995. Karl spent many special hours at his hunting camp in Forestport. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsmen and a big fan of the New York Yankees, the New England Patriots, S.U. Basketball and Adirondack High School Sports. He also enjoyed woodworking. Karl had a great love for his nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife Mary Ann; five children, Kerri and Dave King, John and Joy Kranbuhl, Mollie and Lyn Denslow, Penny Kranbuhl and Ben Felshaw and Tom Kranbuhl; his best furry friend, Tucker; one brother, Douglas Kranbuhl and special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, one sister, Venita Muha and two brothers, Newell J. and Albert Fred Kranbuhl- his best friend.

Karl’s family would like to thank the Sunset Staff and especially C-Wing and Melissa Stouffer who made our days so much easier with all of her loving care shown to Karl. He was the heart and soul of our family, we will miss and love you always.

In keeping with Karl’s wishes services will be private for the family. Spring interment will be in Boonville Cemetery.
