Boonville- John Richard Lallier, 40, a lifelong resident of Miller Road, passed away suddenly at his residence from atherosclerotic coronary illness, on Thursday, February 24, 2022.
John was born in Rome, on September 27, 1981, a son of Richard (Rick) and Shelley Wason Lallier. He grew up near Boonville and graduated from Adirondack High School, with the Class of 2000. While in junior high and high school, John excelled at the sport of Football; during his senior year he was Captain of the Wild Cat Football Team. At the age of eight, he enrolled in Cady’s Martial Arts Academy of Boonville, ultimately earning a Second Degree Black Belt
Following high school, John attended and graduated from Utica School of Commerce, where he earned an Associate Degree in Micro Computer Technology.
John was a person who possessed a very keen mind and a strong work ethic. While in high school, he was employed with his dad, Rick, in the operation of Boonville Transfer Site, and at Aubuchon Hardware, Boonville and at Capri and Marino’s Pizza restaurants. After graduation from college, John was employed in inventory management, before advancing to Logistics Manager for the Rite Aid Drugstores Distribution Center, Rome. During his employment for Rite Aid, he developed and perfected computer software for inventory management and transport. This soft wear system continues to be used today.
In addition to his mother, Shelley Lallier, John is survived by his sister, Melissa Lallier-Chapman, brother in law, Robert Chapman, all of Boonville. He was predeceased by his father, Richard, on May, 2007. Also surviving are his aunts and uncles; Shannon (Fred) Liechty, Sheila Wason, Angela (Dan) Scheib, Stacy (Steve) Fawver, Tracy (David) Gillespie, Belinda Flansburg and Theresa Lallier and many cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation hours on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 2-5 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville, where a service of memories will begin at 5:00 P.M. Tuesday. John’s family wishes to extend a note of thanks and sincere appreciation to Boonville Fire Co. Ambulance crews, who over the years responded for the aid of John.
