Boonville - Karen J. Charbonneau, 79, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, March 7, 2022.

Karen was born on December 12, 1942 in Utica.  She was united in marriage to Richard J. Charbonneau on January 17, 1959 in Boonville.  This was a blessed union of 62 years until Richard's passing in 2021.

Karen's employment included selling real estate, Hill's Department Store, Floral Elegance and Persnickety.  After which she chose to remain home to care for her grandchildren.

Karen was a devoted and caring wife, mother and grandmother and cherished her family above all else.  She also enjoyed playing cards with friends, golf and watching Yankees baseball.  Karen also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She made the best bread which few could master.  She will be deeply missed and had the patience of an Angel.

Surviving are four sons and daughter-in-laws: Jerry and Jerri Charbonneau, Forestport, Dana and Anne Charbonneau, Boonville, Trevor and Carey Charbonneau, Boonville and Ryan and Michele Charbonneau, Boonville as well as two daughters and son-in laws: Tara and Dennis Silliman, Boonville and Jill and Kevin Powers, Albany.  Karen is also survived by many treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren and two sisters, Judith Dellerba and Debora Rosinski, both of Boonville

Karen was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Mary Reigler Roberts, her husband, Richard on January 13, 2021 and a daughter, Julie on July 11, 2013.

A service will be held privately at a later date and there are no calling hours.  Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959.
