Boonville – Maude B. Emerson, 77, passed away on September 24, 2023 at home in Talcottville.

She was born in Lyonsdale, NY on May 20, 1946 a daughter of James and Ida Clemons Moore. Maude grew up in Port Leyden/ Lyonsdale area and attended Port Leyden High School. She was employed at Germanski's Chair Factory in Boonville as well as Sargent's Chair Factory in Boonville. She married Edwin Emerson and the couple later divorced. For many years she drove school bus for Adirondack Central School until retirement. Maude was an excellent musician; she played in various bands throughout the years, playing guitar, banjo and piano. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle, cats, hunting and she was mechanically inclined.

Surviving are a brother, James Moore; two sisters, Mary Lanz and Darlene and Ted Mooney and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Crystal Moore, Geraline Jones and one brother, Edward Moore Sr.

Maude's funeral will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post Street, Boonville. Calling hours will be from 10 –11 a.m. prior the service.
