Peter P. Czajka, Jr.

Published on June 02, 2021

Boonville- Peter P. Czajka, Jr., life resident of Czajka Road and husband of the late Donna, passed away at his residence while surrounded by his loving family and beloved feline friends, on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

Affectionately known as Pete, he was born on March 1, 1943, at the Czajka homestead farm on Czajka Road, Town of Boonville, the only child of Peter P. and Feliksa Burczynski Czajka, Sr.   He graduated from Boonville Central School, with the Class of 1961 and attended Cornell University School of Agriculture before returning to Boonville.

Thereafter Mr. Czajka was employed as a salesman, mechanic and trucker, before many years of employment as a furnace service technician for Adirondack Oil Co. and Boonville and Williams Oil Co. of Remsen.  Pete was a tireless and industrious person who was brilliant in his field of furnace repair and servicing.  If Pete could not fix or repair a furnace or motor it truly could not be salvaged!  He greatly enjoyed working with his hands and as a talented builder, he constructed his family home on Czajka Road, where he raised his own family and during his later years he found great pleasure in mowing his many acres of lawns.

On December 7, 1968, Pete was united in marriage with Donna Dewey, a union of two hardworking people which thrived for 50 years until Donna passed away on July 19, 2019.

Over a period of thirty years, Pete and Donna made a loving home for many many foster children; many of which are still a part of the Czajka family.

Pete is survived by his daughters, Jodie Czajka French, East Granby, CT and Lisa Czajka, Boonville and a son, Desmond Williams, Rome; seven grandchildren, Sosie, Logan and Ryan French, Eden Czajka and Kadence, Maya and Carter Williams.

In keeping with Pete’s wishes, his life will be remembered with a private ceremony.  Memorial contributions may be made to Lewis County Humane Society, P.O. Box #682, Lowville, New York 13367.

His arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville.  For a message of sympathy, please go to www.trainorfuneralhome.com
