Remsen- Robert Daniel Crowther, age 48, of Remsen, passed away on August 22, 2022, of colon cancer with his parents by his side while at the Oneida Hospital, Oneida, New York.

 

Robert (Bob) was born November 17, 1973, at St. Luke’s Hospital, in New Hartford, New York.  He was the son of Diane and Lee Crowther of Remsen.  Bob attended Remsen Central High School, playing soccer, basketball and golf.  He was a graduate of MVCC and SUNY POLY, participating in college golf, attaining a BS degree in telecommunications.  

 

Bob’s career started in Charlotte, NC, with Bell South, then White Plains, New York with Metromedia Fiber Network, culminating with Indium Corporation, Clinton, New York, as a Project Coordinator in Computer Repairs.  

 

Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing with his dad and daughter, Olivia.  He loved playing golf at Glass Hill Golf Club in Trenton Falls, New York.  He was a past club champion as well as a two-time team champion with his friend and partner, Dr. David Helmer.  

 

Bob participated in local dart leagues for the past 12 years.  He was elevated to professional status through the American Dart Association.  He appreciated his entire Dart family.  Bob was also a member of the Boonville Elks Lodge # 2158.

 

 Bob is survived by his parents, and his best friend and daughter, Olivia Mae and brother, Jeffrey Crowther, aunts and uncles; Daniel and Jodi Hudon, Teresa (Terry) Hudon and Bonny McNally,  and cousins.  Bob was predeceased by grandparents; Wilma and Daniel Hudon, Sr., June and Robert Crowther as well as a special cousin Danielle Hudon.  

 

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, September 7, from 4-8 P.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. 143 Schuyler St. Boonville.  On Thursday, September 8, there will be a service given by Pastor Daniel Tabolt, at 10:30 A.M. at Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Memorial contributions may be made to the Glass Hill Golf Course, 428 Dover Road, Barneveld, NY 13304.
