Boonville – Robert M. Nellenbach Jr, 81, passed away on March 17, 2022 with his family by his side at St. Luke's Hospital.

He was born in Rome, New York on August 18, 1940 a son of Robert Sr. and Dorothy Tuffy Nellenbach. He grew up on Jackson Hill and attended Boonville High School. Robert married Betty Hance on July 17, 1960. The couple later divorced. Robert worked on various farms in the area and retired from Ethan Allen Furniture after several years.

Surviving are three children, Debbie (Gary) Mayer, Boonville, Billy (Audna)  Nellenbach, Rome and Richard (Tracy) Nellenbach, Boonville; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, with another due in October of 2022. Also surviving are four sisters, Janet Pierczynski, Utica, Karen (John) Schindele, Idaho, Judith Nellenbach, Sylvan Beach and Sharon Woodcock, Morrisville; two brothers, Michael (Frieda) Nellenbach, Fort Mill, South Carolina and Ronald (Caroline) Nellenbach, Cold Brook and sister-in-law, Nora Nellenbach. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Ernest in 2011, a daughter Susan in 2013, a grandson Alex in 2020 and two brothers-in-law, Bruce Woodcock and Jim Pierczynski.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 4 p.m. at Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post Street, Boonville. Calling hours will be held 2-4 p.m. prior to the service. Spring burial in Boonville Cemetery. Following the service there will be a gathering at the V.F.W. in Boonville.
