NEWPORT - Ronald F. Denslow, 78, of Lindsay Road, passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2022 at his home.

 

He was born August 26, 1943 in the Town of Leyden, NY, a son of the late Ralph and Genevieve (Linck) Denslow. He attended and graduated from Port Leyden School in 1961. He continued his education earning an Associate Degree in animal husbandry at Morrisville State College in 1963. He was first married to the former Rosemary Lawrence and had two children with her. He later married Shirley Moore on December 8, 1972 (a second marriage for each). The couple owned and operated a 500 acre dairy farm on Gomer Hill in Turin from July of 1974, they grew their dairying operation and raised their children. In 2002 the couple sold the farm in Turin, relocating to a smaller dairy farm in Newport, until health issues predicated partial retirement in 2014. Their legacy was interrupted with Shirley’s passing in 2016.

 

Ronald is survived by his children Ron Denslow, Jr. of Boonville, Robin Denslow of Missouri, Rodney (Patricia) Denslow, of Newport; Ralph (Brittany) Denslow of Munnsville, Barbara Rogers of Rock Hill, SC; his siblings Sharon (Bill) Grubb of Missouri; Debora (Wally) Burns of Boonville; ten grandchildren; Timothy, Cody, Desiree, Fredrick, Patrick, Rebecca, Lane, Emmet, Alton and Lisa; and four great-grandchildren, Lillian, Cason, Adalyn and Freya. Ronald is also survived by his friend and companion Patricia Diflippo. In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Denslow.

 

Calling hours at the Autenrith Funeral Home, 7479 Main Street, Newport, are Tuesday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.. A funeral service at the funeral home will take place on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Allen, officiating. A private interment will take place in Newport Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
